Since the foundation of the Hungarian Rock Museum, the Hungarian Rock Hall of Fame Association has managed it as a non-profit organisation. As a consequence, due to the Association Act (Egyesületi Törvény), the items in the collection cannot be allocated to other entities. In other words, the collection can only belong to another non-profit organisation or to the National Property Fund.
