The founders of the European Solidarity Centre (ECS) signed the erection act in 2007. Institution's objective is to preserve the memory of democratic opposition, with a focus on the "Solidarity" movement history in Northern Poland. Since 2007 ECS is gathering items related to the history of democratic changes, namely photographs, exhibits, videos, and recordings, which separately form several collections that are vast, yet deliberate.
